CASA is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach to the complex problem of using waste materials, which are technologically poor, within materials that must ensure adequate levels of performance, safety, and durability, while operating within the framework of technological feasibility and economic viability. For this purpose, multisectoral expertise, appropriate equipment and laboratories, human and material resources, and effective interactions with the industrial world are indispensable.
The cross-sector approach is made possible in CASA thanks to the multidisciplinary nature of the various research laboratories involved from the Region, and the cutting-edge and complementary equipment available. The partnership combines expertise in Materials Engineering (CIDEA, CRICT), Construction Science and Technology (CIDEA, CRICT, En&Tech, CIRI EC), Environmental Sustainability (CIDEA, CIRI EC), durability (TekneHub), and environmental impact assessment (En&Tech).
